NDB News
As the 2023/24 winter DX season comes to a close I have found that it has been my best ever for trans-Atlantic reception. Sadly reception of 372 kHz OZN from Greenland remains very difficult following its re-location during 2022. Interestingly its re-location was very close to its origonal location. (March 2024)
327 kHz TNL Tatenhill England closed 10 May 2024 (May
2024)
August proved to be better than usual with much less QRN
from thunder storms than usual. As the summer season comes to an end on several
occasions during August some trans-Atlantic signals were received here.

A number of NDBs in the UK and Ireland have been missing
during October as a result of long maintenance periods. In Ireland OE 316 kHz
and OP 397 kHz both Dublin, HB 420 Belfast City,
349.5 LPL Liverpool and WCO
335 kHz Westcott. I received a report from the west of Ireland that OZN 372kHz
from Greenland was received at midday using minimal receiver equipment. (October
2024)
OE and OP continue to be missing untl late December. OZN Prins Christan Sund Greenland seems to have changed it transmission format. The frequency offset used to be 400Hz but on the night of 5 December my recording clearly showed it now using 1020Hz frequency offset. (December 2024)
